Let’s face it…I’m terrible at blogging…but I know you all pry want to see some pics from Shelley’s wedding 2 weeks ago! So that’s what I got for ya…just some of my favorites from the weekend…and if you want to get her play-by-play…stop over and read her take! She actually might finish her recaps…unlike some people…um me.
Getting the decor ready on Friday inside at Country Pines…due to the hurricane-esq winds outside.
Shelley…master of pom-making!
Rehearsal dinner at Old Chicago
BM Becky getting her hair done!
Shelley put me in charge of taking pics while she got ready…talk about stress-inducing! Ha ha j/k Shelley…although I’m sure the other girls were annoyed with my constant rolling around on the floor and standing on the bed/chair/desk/window trying to get good shots! I think I managed to get a few good ones…Shelley seems happy so that’s all that matters to me!
Love the lace detailing of her Maggie Sottero gown!
Hair is all set to go!
Shelley getting the update on the decorating at CP
Ring Shot! (my attempt at being artsy)
Full view in the dress!
Checking the goods one last time before heading out to CP!
Off to get hitched!!
Shelley and all of us BMs…looking hot!
So obviously I was too busy doing my bridesmaid duties to take any pictures of the actual ceremony…and even though I gave my camera to Lance (who is notorious for taking really bad-shaky pics) he was apparently too preoccupied with the NFL draft via my phone to take any…so we continue post ceremony
Me and this cute guy I hang out with…a lot.
We went on an awesome hay-rack ride around the grounds with the wedding party after the ceremony
The new Mr & Mrs!! Hooray!!
It was beautiful and sunny out…and luckily the hurricane-esq winds were no where to be found!
one of the guys helping me feed my need to tap the rockies
We stopped at this little cabin by the lake..and of course champagne had to be involved.
Headed back to the reception! Oh and see our fun clutches? We carried those instead of bouquets..and notice the cute matching cardigans? Shelley gave those to us along with the fun homemade flower pins! She is a crafty one!
Instead of a head table the bride and groom sat with us common folk..so of course I had to make her some chairs signs…i mean really…it’s not always obvious who the bride is…
First Dance as Husband and Wife!
The End! ….or should I say The Beginning of a wonderful and happy life together!

Tomorrow that Lance guy and I are headed back to my homeland…Nebraska…aka the coolest-place-ever.
Amongst the list of places we plan to eat (what..i plan trips around food…don’t judge)… I will also be working on earning my Bridesmaid-of-the-year award as one of my dearest friends walks down the aisle!
(looking ever so fab at my wedding!)
She stood up there next to me as I said “I Do” to my other BFF…and I couldn’t be more excited to do the same for her!
As it turns out…she’s getting married at the same place as Lance & I did…good ol’ Country Pines!! Lance and I are super excited to get back there and enjoy the place as guests!! I plan to be “that girl” that takes an annoying amount of pictures…so stay tuned for some spring-wedding goodness! For now here’s a sneak peek of the sexy BM dress I get to sport…
just ignore the special guest appearance by my wedding clutch..the reason for that will be revealed post-wedding
(also…I just realized how diff our house looks now from when this pic was taken…we now have totally different colored walls…and wood flooring where I’m standing! my how time files!)
Shelley also picked some bright-spring colors for her decor…with poms, fabric, and buttons…we’re gonna turn that place into sometihng similar to this!

Fun huh?! I’m stoked to see it all come together!! There has been a plethora of g-chat, text, & twitter convos back and forth about every detail…from the guest list fun to wedding attire and even that pesky printer – the bane of Shelley’s bridalhood.
Alas here we are…just a few short days before she says I Do…and being the smart woman she is…she actually has all her tasks DONE!? I know right?! who does that?!
So no…i won’t be watching the royal wedding (well maybe just a peek to see Kate’s dress!)..instead I’ll be watching someone near and dear to my heart marry someone who I couldn’t have hand-picked more perfectly for her!!
till next time!
*If you follow me on twitter then you may even get a few sneak peeks into the big day…whoop!

Oh man…we had a blast at the wedding of one of my dear SLC friends this past weekend Such a perfect pair…and a gorgeous setting…I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
My good friend C and I! She was one of my personal attendants…and she made my garter too!!
The lodge where the reception was held
The groom was escorted by his mother…and the couple’s dog!
The beautiful bride…escorted by her parents
They read a poem together…entitled ‘Fireflies’ by Nighi Nguyen…such a neat idea!
From this day farther we’ll always be together.
We’ll watch the sun rise and watch the sun set in the horizon.
Together in those cool spring evening, hands in hands, we’ll walk down those magical places, places only the two of us would know.
In the summer evening, we’ll hold each other and close our eyes, we’ll watch the stars far above, we’ll think about tomorrow as the fireflies spread their wings and fly, fly into that freedom sky.
In the winter, it’ll just be me and you in the warmth of the evening.
We’ll walk on the snow, make imprints that’ll last forever.
Just hold me in those cold winter nights and I’ll be right there to hold you.
We’ll watch the falling snow, we’ll sit before the fire and cherish the moments we’re having together.
In the silent of the nights, we’ll always be together forever.
Don’t be sad because I’ll always be here with you, don’t be sad because I’ll always be there no matter where you are, and I know you’ll love me and be there like I’d be for you.
Through the cool springs, warm summers, and cold winters, we’ll always be together no matter what happens.
Just close your eyes and dream of tomorrow because we’ll always be together.
And if one day one of us no longer is here, just once again think of those spring, summer, and winter nights.
Close your eyes and let the fireflies lead the way for us to once again be with each other.
Beautiful flowers in mason jars!
First Dance as Mr. & Mrs!
Aren’t they just the cutest couple?!
We’re so happy for these two crazy kids!! Hooray!

If I could only get my hands on some antique bottles/jars like these…def my type of alter!

Lance and I at the rehearsal dinner…it was set up on the groom’s mom’s deck…which was pretty awesome.
