shoes & a knitted garter
August 12, 2010
If you recall…these were the shoes I decided to wear on my wedding day…
{so pretty-ly photographed by Khara}
I loved them! …and I was determined to keep these suckers on till after our first dance…which I successfully did! I don’t actually remember them hurting my feet much…but I must have been blissed-out and numb to pain because I had zero feeling in the majority of my toes for three days after the wedding.
Didn’t they look great with my freshly pedicured purple toes?? Talk about going the non-traditional route!
I love this pic Khara secretly snapped of them when I was heading upstairs at some point during the reception…most likely headed to the shoot shack!
And of course…they looked fabulous paired with my beautiful purple garter
Hand knit by my dear friend C…
She has mad knitting skills…seriously…isn’t it just amazing!?!? Oh and the yarn* is a knitter’s dream…100% lamb’s wool yumminess!
It was definately one of my favorite details from the entire day.
If you’re thinking of knitting up your own garter…check out C’s pattern on Ravelry!
*yarn is Jade Sapphire – Lacey Lamb

The winning photo…
August 11, 2010
is A!
It was hard to pick! At first I was convinced we would go with C, the windmill one…but as I read your comments and thought about it more…I kept going back to this one!
In B, the one of us sitting, Lance is talking…which maybe that is only obvious to us…but I thought if we blew it up it would look goofy. Then C I really really like…but I figured it might be odd to hang a giant pic of us kissing in the living room.
So we went with A! A 20×30 print fits the entire photo (hooray for no cropping needed!) and it has a more artistic feel which I think will fit in our living room better.
Thanks for all your input…def helped! Can’t wait to hang this sucker in our house…I spose I’ll have to post some pics when that happens
Oh and I ordered prints of the other two as well so they will still be on display somewhere in our house….bedroom perhaps??
Help!

Which one would you get a giant canvas print of?? (thinking 20×30)
A)
B)
C)
A, B, or C?? Let me know your thoughts!
Location of said canvas print TBD…most likely living room or bedroom. Sadly we don’t have a fireplace mantle for displaying it…so we will have to get creative!

Rockin’ the Lens!
September 29, 2009
ACK! So it’s been a week since I last posted…yeah sorry bout that. But I have some eye candy for you…so hopefully that helps!!
So after 3 weeks of patiently (read: hitting refresh every 5mins on Khara’s blog) awaiting our e-pics…they are done!! Of course it was when I was NOT looking that she posted them…I was in the midst of making dinner when I got a text…”your pics are up on the blog”! WHAT?! You better believe I inhaled my food (not so good) so I could get on my macbook and check those suckers out!
So without further ado…a small sample of our pics
Downtown Lincoln…CORN…a rockin’ tire-swing…mugs with our cats’ faces on them….I can’t get over how awesome they are!! There’s a ton more in the online gallery I have to sift through and pick my favorites…it will be hard to not order all of them!
You MUST run over to Khara’s blog and check out the rest…and then come back and tell me which ones are your favorites! OH and if you’re family or just curious…shoot me an email and I can give you the info to see the gallery!!
100!

Gah sorry I haven’t posted in like 10 years…I was a little intimidated by the whole “100″th post staring at me so here it is! the big 1-0-0!

Well there is some relevant stuff I COULD blog about…but instead I’m just gonna post some pretty pictures…because its MY 100th post and thats what I WANT to do!

I’m loving this engagement session shot by Heather and Grayson…

(above 3 images from Jagger Photography…one of my new faves!)
oh and of course Khara was busy this past weekend…

I actually knew this bride back in college…I lived with one of her BMs for a year so it was fun to see these pics! I am so jealous of this corn shot…seriously I was JUST in Nebraska and the corn was barely out of the ground…that stuff shot up quick! Unfortuantely it won’t be this high in the beginning of June next year…maybe we could just lay on top of it?? haha.

its a good thing that umbrellas CAN look good in pics…ya know… just in case the weather doesn’t cooperate for us.

So I have some FUN NEWS to share…but you’re just gonna have to wait a bit….so stay tuned!!
How you picture it…
June 22, 2009
You book the venue, and you book the photographer…and then you sit and picture how well the two will “go together” so to speak. When I booked Khara I had seen a few pictures of weddings she had shot at our venue…but only a few shots and none of a more recent wedding. Well sitting in the Omaha airport Sunday morning waiting to head back…I scanned my google reader for something to read…and came across this… a wedding shot by Khara at CP…our venue.

We visited CP on Friday morning (this wedding was on Saturday)…and I had asked about hanging strings of lanterns with lights…well look what we have here..this bride was thinking the same thing apparently and now I don’t have to wonder what it will look like!

oh and did I mention there is a giant windmill…because there is

OK I can’t post all the pics…so to see the rest you’ll have to check out Khara’s blog. How fun is it to see wedding pics by your photographer at your venue?!? I personally think Khara did an amazing job capturing the look and feel of Country Pines…just as I imagined she would…and know she will for our day too.
