Our Invites!

A couple things before the “big reveal”

1)  We are a month and 2 days away from THE day…

&

2)  HOLY BANANAS!

…that is all.

Now for the real reason for this post…besides me freaking out.

TA-DA!!!!

The invite on the left, and the front of the RSVP postcard on the top right, and the back on the bottom right.  I just love how casual and fun they are!  They turned out perfect!

ok so I didn’t blur everything out…I mean they are just too cute to!  So please for the love of god do not stalk me or try to crash our wedding.  Thanks.

When I first came across the Heartland invite on Hello Lucky! I thought it was cute but didn’t think much of it beyond that.  Fast forward a couple days when fellow blogger Abbie sent me a bunch of links to cute invites and there it was again!   For some reason after looking at it a second time…I was SOLD!  I mean is it not perfect?!…I think ‘Heartland’ says it all!  Plus I found a 20% off code via Weddingbee!  Can’t argue with that!  It was meant to be.

A couple weeks after placing the order…I came across this post on Whisker Graphics‘ blog and thought….hey I can do that!  It just so happens that I ordered some green Divine Twine a while back…perfect!  So I typed up all the names in  a cute font, printed them off on some gravel-colored paper from Paper Source (to match the invites) and punched them out with a giant punch!

Time consuming yes…but totally worth it if you ask me!  Here’s how they turned out

Then I stuffed them in purple envelopes stamped with our lovebird return address stamp…

I got them all sent out before taking off to Vegas…and my mom has been sending me daily updates of the RSVPs she has been getting.  As of today we are up to 91 guests!  wowza!  Can’t Wait!

and they’re off!

I dropped off the final bunch of our wedding invites today at the post office!!  What an amazing feeling it is to have these DONE!  Needless to say I could not have finished this task without the help from my amazing personal attendants A & C!

Our UT friends have already gotten theirs in the mail…and I expect everyone else will be receiving theirs shortly!

So I can’t reveal them completely yet…but because I’m nice I’ll give ya a little peek.

I’ll show ya the whole sha-bang once I get back from my little trip to…

VEGAS!  I hop on a plane tomorrow to meet up with 8 of my favorite ladies for a weekend of fun craziness!!  I might try and squeeze in one more post before then…depending on how the packing goes tonight!

I am back from Nebraska!

Amongst all the other wedding hooplah that went on…I ordered our invites.

If you have been around on the wedding blogs lately you may have seen this one out there…it comes from a popular wedding invite site….which I will tell you all about once I get our proof and get these suckers finalized!  So until then this will just have to do.

Oh and hopefully I’ll find some time to re-cap all the other exciting things that happened back in NE…like my shower!  This weekend is already jammed packed with about 8 of Lance’s good guy friends coming to town…and hopefully a meet-up with Abbie on Sunday!!

Invited

So I’m on the hunt for invites..finally.  I mean I’ve done soooommme looking here and there.  But now I’m actually trying to get serious about it.  Anyways…I was casually browsing Wedding Paper Divas today and discovered a bunch of new super cute designs!

The first one that caught my eye would have been PERFECT for this wedding.

it also comes in a plum color option!  in fact there’s a lot of purple options on WPD right now…must be a popular wedding color this year!

I like the simplicity of this purple and green one…very spring-like!

I really like this one…it has a very modern/fun/simple look to it.

This one is cute too…in the oh so popular grey and yellow color combo.

Oh and this last one is would be a fun/modern option for a fall wedding.
