Rain Rain Go Away…GBR!

September 16, 2010

Ok well this weekend Lance and I are headed to Seattle to once again cheer on the Big Red as they take on the Washington Huskies!

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so excited for a Husker road game!  It’s always fun going back to Memorial Stadium to cheer on the boys….but there is just something about road games that make them one of a kind!  Esp with Husker fans…anyone sporting red will cheer “Go Huskers” when they see that you too are wearing red…and you all of a sudden become BFFs with one common purpose…cheer as loud as you can for the boys in RED!

Sadly..the weather is not looking too fab…rain rain, and more rain.

Luckily I picked up some rainboots at Target last night…along with a couple heavy-duty red ponchos, and a new umbrella!  I’m a bit un-fashion forward…and don’t have skinny jeans or jeggins…so pulling off these rainboots may be a challenge…

So with that I’ll leave you with a little rainy day wedding inspiration!

(Perhaps I could just wear my wedding dress with my rainboots?!…haha…yeah right like I would do that…ok maybe i would.)

Just wanted to say a quick HELLO to anyone who actually stops by still!  I’m currently buried under to-do lists…slowly but surely things will (hopefully) get checked off!

We leave in 10 days my friends …TEN DAYS!!  and the wedding is a week later…ack I’m sweating just thinking about it!!

anyways…here’s some fun pics from fun weddings I’ve seen when I actually get a chance to check my reader…the inspiration never ends…even with the wedding just a couple weeks away :)

Any wedding with burlap, mason jars, and chalkboards is pretty much the ‘best wedding ever’ in my book.

of course if you have a cat and hay-bails…you definitely get a thumbs up from me too…

…oh and beautiful flowers and gorgeous purple BM dresses don’t hurt either ;)

Tomorrow is my final pre-wedding event…a ‘wine-tasting’ shower with my ladies here in Salt Lake!  Super excited for this one…I mean it involves wine…how can I not be stoked?!!  Which reminds me…I still need to fill you in on our ‘Suitcase Shower’ Lance’s aunts had for us…or should I say sent us.

So much to blog about…so little time to actually blog!

Someday my friends…someday.

Birds & Tree Stumps

May 4, 2010

Heather and Grayson always shoot the most awesome-est of awesome weddings…always a treat for the eyes when I see a new post by them in my reader!

I’ll let the pics explain what I mean…

A peony bouquet with really thin lace wrapped around the stems…yep love it.

cute bridesmaid dresses from Anthro…always a good idea!

…and the assortment of lovebirds and tree stumps!?  Ack I want them all!

If I could only get my hands on some antique bottles/jars like these…def my type of alter!

this one is getting stashed in my hair inspiration folder!

See what I mean?!  Those two crazy kids get all the fun weddings!!  Check out their blog (Jagger Photography for more from this fun wedding!)

I remember seeing this wedding a while back on Melissa Jill’s blog…and made a mental note to post it…and much like everything else I make mental notes about…I forgot.

Until today…thank-you BC!

There’s a few things I love about this wedding…first up…the purple flats!

I sorta want to get a pair….and those socks!?  Yep…Lance and his GM are wearing the same ones!

oh and then there are the beautiful BM bouquets…

Love it!

oh and the cute BM dresses too…

and last but not least..tulips!

It’s amazing how much my vision has changed since starting this wedding-planning adventure 12 months ago!!  Some details I gawked at a year ago are now on my want must have list…crazy.

&!

September 22, 2009

Remember how I liked the ‘&’…and I’ve been wondering about ways to ‘use’ it with our decor….well I think I just found a new favorite way…

…connecting our chairs!!!  yes it might be a bit inconvenient when one wants to get up and the other doesn’t…but is it not cute!?  Plus those are the same type of chairs we will have…just plain jane white folding chairs.

…as in months to go!  and we’ve already been engaged for 9…so basically someone could get pregnant and have a baby all before I get married.  (really puts it in perspective doesn’t it)  sweet.  although I must admit time is going by pretty fast.

anyways…i made a new inspiration board.  (click on it to make it bigger)

inspirboard2

sources: twinkle jars, welcome, pictures, clothes, windmill, table, bride with maids, colors, cakes, jars, sign, baggo, jars/candles, masonjar, cookies.

I think I like it…it includes a lot more specific details that I want to have like the wooden signs, the mason jars, baggo…etc.

so what do you think?  kinda different from the last one huh?
